Greenway Improvement Project Rain Gardens

The Maplewood Greenway Improvement Project consists of two bioretention areas or engineered rain gardens designed to work together to capture and slow the movement of stormwater from the uphill parking lot and other impervious surfaces into Deer Creek. The bioretention and surrounding areas are planted with an assortment of native plants, grasses, trees, and shrubs selected by SWT Design to help soak up the water as well as create wildlife habitat, restore biodiversity, and beautify this site.

The maintenance of this project is to be conducted by the City of Maplewood.
